- Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – where processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the Controller, including website security, customer service, protection against fraud, establishment or defence of legal claims, and certain forms of direct marketing;
- Article 6(1)(a) GDPR – where the user has given consent, particularly in relation to newsletters, non-essential cookies, analytics or marketing technologies where consent is legally required.
Where processing is based on consent, the user may withdraw that consent at any time.
